Thanks

Grateful thanks to Dierdre and the Keepers, to Russell, Dalene, and of course Sandy who came to my aid yesterday when my car was broken into and I was left stranded on the  road to the picnic ground. You guys went well beyond the extra mile !

Foodie Dialogues & Activities

Foragers at the Village Hub is planning to host “Foodie Dialogues & Activities” out on the deck every Saturday morning around 10 am. The intention is to share our passion of accessing good food for the village by connecting interesting food producers to us the eaters.

To get the ball rolling, we invite you to scratch around your kitchen draws for those blunt knives and scissors you have been wanting to sharpen for the last decade. Tim Stirrup from Sharp Sharp Knife Sharpening in Noordhoek will join us from 0900-1200 this Sat 12 Mar. He will ensure our cutting tools are ready for some fabulous kitchen action!

Cost – R30 per knife or R25 for 5 or more. It takes between 5 and 15 minutes to sharpen a knife depending on sharpness and metal, so drop them off in the morning or enjoy a cuppa while you wait.

We also hope to be sharing some mouth-watering tasters from Bella Vita who supply us with a range of yummy pesto’s and pastes. See you there

Stop/Go between Kalk Bay Harbour and Woolley’s Pool

The City has provided us with the following regarding the above. The Stop/Go will only be operational for 6 months until the construction works in this section are complete. The Stop/Go operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, until the need for it is no longer required, at which time two-way traffic will be reinstated, around mid-September 2016.

It is envisaged that for the remainder of the construction work, from Woolley’s Pool to Clovelly Road, completion Oct 2017,  two way traffic will be maintained.
