City of Cape Town – Drought charges FAQ

Real Xmas presents!!

Do you have a well-meaning relative that gifts you with itchy Christmas sweaters, socks or bath-salts every year?  Rather than these unwanted presents why not ask your family to donate to TEARS on your behalf? Any amount will help ALL the animals  in our care. Also check out our “Pay for A Spay” Gift Vouchers. Every donation received will go towards food, shelter, sterilisations, as well as other essential veterinary services to local communities. Plus you get to say: “The dogs ate my Xmas present. (who wouldn't want that?!)"

Accomodation needed

We are coming back (temp) to Scarbs from 1st of February to 9th of April and looking for a nice cottage or little house for 2 adults and 1 child (2 year old) to stay. We stayed last summer for almost five month in Scarborough and we like to see you all again and being part of your community – even part of the local fire unit, I joined sometimes as a volunteer. We don’t need something really big, but it should be cosy and have at least 2 bedrooms. A beautiful view would be lovely, but isn’t a must have. Looking really forward to our stay in beautiful Scarbs!

Thanks from The Red Hill Feeding Program & The Red Hill Reading Project!

Amazing job, thank you Scarborough Community and everyone overseas who supported The Red Hill Feeding Program & The Red Hill Reading Project. Thank you to everyone who donated food and gifts to over 150 children on December 8. Passion and dedication brought together a whole community to guarantee that Red Hill children had a Christmas party to remember.

The Red Hill Feeding Scheme provides 5 meals per week for approximately 80 children. Buyiswa Ponti, with assistance from the Red Hill ladies who volunteer with her, is making a real difference in this community. If any of you can help out with food or donation sponsorship's for 2018, please contact:
Annika: annika.nicol.ct@gmail.com or Flo: Flovanleuven@gmail.com

The Red Hill Reading Project is always looking for more books & volunteers to help the children learn to read and write. If you're open to helping with this project, please contact:
Elly: eleanor.abels@gmail.com

To realize our 2018 goals to feed all the children of Red Hill and to improve their reading and writing skills, we need more help! Thanks a million – Tis The Season To Be Grateful!
