Our rescue cat, Starlight – see attached images – managed to get out of our house yesterday. It was her first day in Scarborough, she is all the way from a shelter in Durbanville, so I am very worried about her. If you see her anywhere please contact me. Big thanks in advance.

Hello, we've just bought a house in Scarborough and will be making this our home for a good chunk of each year (the other part will be in the warmer months in Quebec!). We're home schooling our 14 and 7 year-old daughters right now and wondering if there are other families who school at home, or if there are organized activities the girls could join in so that they get to meet kids their age. Thanks and greetings, from

Yoga in Scarborough
My name is Hanna, I am a qualified yoga teacher, and would like to start yoga classes in Scarbs -possibly one weekday 10am, and/ or saturday morning, if people are interested. My yoga classes are a slow flow of hatha asanas, connecting with the body landsapes from within, including short meditations, and gentle ways of stretching. A way to a more quiet mind, dropping the awareness into the physical sensations and internal textures of our bodies.
Question: does anyone have a big enough lounge or other suitable space we could do this in? Obviously depending on how many people … Let me know if you are interested, and which day could work for you, so I can get an idea. If we cant find a lounge or similar rooms to meet, I will ask at the Scarborough hall for open slots to hire.

Yoga for Healthy Aging
Haha there seem to be more yoga teachers than students in Scarborough! So I am yet another teacher. I would be very happy to work with the other teachers in some way – possibly helping to secure a venue and sharing the cost or alternating classes and times.
I taught yoga for many years in KZN and have moved recently to Scarborough. My classes will not be very spiritual as I concentrate mainly on keeping the spine flexible and the knees functioning – keeping the aches and pains at bay! Being 65 myself, I know how important this is. I qualified many years ago in the Young Yoga Institute, under the tuition of Winnie Young in Durban and have since studied under the Iyengar teacher, David Jacob. I have always followed the teachings of BKS Iyengar’s Hatha yoga.
Apart from classes, I am also willing to come to people’s homes (in Scarborough) if they would like private lessons. I would offer a “de-stressing package” of yoga, deep breathing and relaxation. Please contactme if interested. Details about times and venues for classes will follow, depending on the response.
